Location of Barrow-in-Furness; Maps, Travel Enquiry Phone Numbers and Links

Location

Barrow is situated in the southern tip of the Furness peninsula, on the North West Coast of England on the northern shoreline of Morecambe Bay. By Rail

The Furness line, north from Lancashire or south from Carlisle is a scenic coastal journey which calls at Barrow (and Dalton, Roose and Askam - dependent on timetable). There are also direct services from Manchester Airport to Barrow. By Coach or Bus

There is a daily National Express Coach service to Kendal with a link via X6 to Barrow. Stagecoach in Cumbria and other Operators operate a comprehensive bus service between local towns and the Lake District. Callers from within Cumbria wanting travel information for other parts of the Country can be automatically transferred by call centre staff to the appropriate regional call centre.
