Building Control
The Building Control Department deals with a range of services, these include:
- Processing and approving plans deposited under the Building Regulations, including site visits to check these are adhered to;
- Dangerous structures;
- Demolitions;
- Street naming and numbering; and
- Safety at Sports Grounds.
We are separate from the Development Control (Planning) process but we work very closely with them. The Department has a wealth of knowledge and experience which we hope to share with our users.
