Every Tuesday (Starting 9th May)

Barrow Park Leisure Centre - Barrow Park Run Club - Booking essential for both members and non members

Meet in the cafe for a 10:30am start before heading to the park for some interval style training sessions. Sessions will be suitable for ALL abilities, from those just starting out to more advanced runners... everyone can run at their own pace whilst still getting the benefits of training in a group.

Sunday 30th April - Round House Dog Show - Biggar Bank, Walney from 12pm-4pm

Sunday 11th June - Islanders Dance Troupe Dance Gala - Biggar Bank, Walney from 1pm-4pm

Thursday 15th - Sunday 18th - Barrow Funland (Taylors Fair) - from 5pm weekdays and 1pm weekends - Cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances

August

Wednesday 8th - Barrowfull Summer Playcations - Ormsgill Community Centre & Playing Field from 11am-3.30pm - Daytime family-friendly event combining music, drama, arts & crafts, and other activities.

Saturday 5th - Tales of the Tide - Biggar Bank, Walney, from 2pm-4pm - Signal Film & Media & Furness Multicultural Community Forum - A small community family friendly pop up gathering for storytelling & live acoustic music.

Friday 11th August - Barrowfull Summer Playcations - Vickerstown Park, Walney from 11am-3.30pm - Daytime family-friendly event combining music, drama, arts & crafts, and other activities.

Saturday 12th - Barrowfull Summer Playcations - Portland Walk/Dalton Road from 11am-3.30pm - Daytime family-friendly event combining music, drama, arts & crafts, and other activities.

Saturday 19th - Walney Kite Festival - Biggar Bank, Walney from11am-3pm. Should the weather be inclement, the kite festival will be held on Sunday 20th.

Sunday 27th August - Round House Dog Show - Biggar Bank, Walney from 12pm-4pm

Friday 25th August - Bay Lines Beach of Dreams - Biggar Bank, Walney - main event from 11am-4pm - This is an art installation by artists of international stature who create very lightweight silk banners with the community. Bay Lines, Beach of Dreams is a collection of 120 silk pennants created with communities across Morecambe Bay, each representing one mile of 120 miles of coastline of the Bay
