Barrow Borough Council is currently undertaking a review of its statement of Gambling Policy under the Gambling Act 2005 and is consulting with the Police and other interested parties.

As part of the review the council is taking the opportunity to invite residents and businesses on their opinion on how gambling licences should be managed.  A draft version of the policy has been produced and the period of consultation will  run between Tuesday 18th September and Tuesday 13th November 2018.

Copies of the draft policy are available on the council’s website, and from the Town Hall.  Any comments should be submitted in writing to Graham Barker, Public Protection Manager, Barrow Borough Council, Town Hall, Duke Street, Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria LA14 2LD or by emailing commercial@barrowbc.gov.uk to be received no later than Tuesday 13th November 2018.
