Barrow is the principal retail centre for South West
Cumbria with a catchment population in excess of 130,000 within a
one-hour drive.
Barrow's pedestrianised town centre is well
served by car parks and public transport and is home to major
national stores such as Debenhams, New Look, Marks and Spencer,
River Island, Body Shop, Officer's Club and Waterstones, as
well as a wide range of independent retailers in Cavendish
Street, Scott Street, Crellin Street and Rawlinson Street and a
thriving indoor market.
There are several retail parks just outside or at the edge of
the town centre, and these venues host larger branches of well
known stores, including Next, Dunelm Mill, Brantano,
Maplin, PC World, Currys and many more. Download Shopping map of Barrow.
