Partnering: the way forwardLABC Logo

Local Authority Building Control (LABC) has more than 2,500 successful national partnerships with construction companies and professional advisers.  But what is an LABC Partnership and how can you benefit?

LABC partnering enables companies or advisers to 'partner' with their preferred Local Authority.  Your organisation can choose to have a national or regional link to LABC.  This will provide you with a single point of contact for your plan examination and advice to ensure all your projects are regulatory compliant.

In each individual area, site inspections will be carried out by the Local Authority in close liaison with your Partner Authority.  With a Building Control Surveyor dedicated to your team every time, you can guarantee certainty and consistency across all aspects of design including pre-application advice, plans examination and all the necessary consultations, including the Fire Service.  For companies that build or design nationwide, partnering can help to simplify and speed up the building process.  The additional charge for this service?  None.

More information can be obtained in the first instance from Kevan Morrison, Building Control Manager & Access Officer on 01229 876481.
