The Housing Service operates within a policy framework
established by the Council. In developing this framework,
tenants and residents play an active part in the decision-making
process through a series of forums and focus groups, most
particularly the Tenants' Forum and the
Housing Management Forum.
The Tenants' Forum is constituted as a consultative and advisory
body. The forum is made up of: tenant representatives
nominated by their respective tenants'/residents' associations to
speak on their behalf on tenant-related matters; street
voices elected by the residents of the area they represent;
chair of the Tenants with Disabilities Forum; representatives
from the Leaseholders' Forum; an elected Council Member
and senior housing officers.
