The Rent Service (TRS) is part of the Valuation Office Agency
from the first of April 2009. TRS provides valuations for
individual properties for local authorities in England; for use in
the assessment of claims for Housing Benefit where the tenant is
renting from a private landlord; this however does not include
claims processed under Local Housing Allowance rules.
