Barrow Borough Council's Local Planning Portal is available for you to examine information on recent applications. Below is a list of services and information most commonly requested. The information shown regarding planning applications/ weekly lists is constantly updated during the day. However some items attached to applications are not immediately available. Decision notices usually appear within 24-48 hours, and applications forms and plans within 5 working days.

Please Note: As the Local Planning Portal accesses live information, the service is unavailable while backups occur, between 04:00 and 07:30 every Tuesday.

Weekly List of Planning Applications Received and Decided
Online Register of Planning Applications (Includes the following)
- Search for applications
- View forms and drawings
- View decision notices
- Make comments on applications. (What kind of comments will be taken into account?)
- View Appeals
- See progress on applications
- View a list of people/ organisations who have been consulted on applications

Online Maps of Pending Planning Applications (with find my nearest application, updated daily)

In Person:

Applications can also be viewed at Barrow Town Hall. From the 18th July 2011 the department will operate the following standard opening hours 10:00 - 15:00 Monday to Friday for public access.
