The Counselling Directory web site is a support network of UK counsellors and psychotherapists, with information on their training and experience, areas of counselling, fees and contact details. Their service is free and confidential.

 

 

The Bluebell Foundation aims to provide support and information to individuals and families in South Cumbria and Millom who are suffering emotional distress arising from infertility, the illness of a child, the anticipation of death of an unborn child , bereavement by death of a baby, infant or child. They also aim to provide help and training to professionals in dealing with bad news.

The Down's Heart Group is a charity offering support and information relating to heart conditions associated with Down's Syndrome nationally.

The National Society for Epilepsy is the UK's leading charity providing expert information and care for people with the condition and their carers.

 

Their web site www.epilepsysociety.org.uk gives a range of information about living with eplilepsy.

 

They also have a help line 01494 601400 that is open Monday to Friday between 10am and 4pm.

 

 

Listening Books

The Furness branch is very well established in the area and have around 100 members from around the Furness Peninsulas area, and beyond.

You don't have to be a member to ask for help.

Their aim is to help anyone whose life is affected by Multiple Sclerosis (MS).
