Waste Disposal

It is an offence to present waste for collection before 12 midday on the day before collection or leave bins out past midnight on the day of collection.  Failure to adhere to these instructions could result in a £100 Fixed Penalty Notice.  You can view the public notice on Presentation of Waste here.

Refuse Collection

Domestic Properties are provided with weekly refuse collections.  If you need help putting your rubbish out for collection, ring 01229 876487 so that we can add you to our help list.

Recycling Collection

Fortnightly recycling collections are made (green sacks for paper, recycling boxes for tins, glass, and brown bins for garden waste).

Special Collections of Bulky Household Items

Special Collections of large household items are normally made weekly on request.  Special Collections may include Fridges and Freezers and these will normally be collected on Fridays.  Sometimes, if demand is high, they may not be collected until Saturday. N.B. Other items will not be collected at the same time as a Fridge or Freezer. Bulky Garden Waste collection is also available.
