Introduction
The Council's Best Value Performance Plans are available
for you, our local community, in order that you can:
a) Get a better understanding of the services we provide for
you;
b) Assess the efficiency and effectiveness of the Council in
providing and/or procuring these services for you;
c) Compare our performance against our own targets and
others;
d) See our performance against our priorities identified last
year.
More importantly it provides you with the opportunity to
influence our priorities, by encouraging you to tell the Council
what you see as important and where you think we should concentrate
our efforts.
The plans are also written for the Government and our
auditors, albeit for similar reasons.
The plans show our targets and how
we intend to achieve them with economy, efficiency and
effectiveness. It will allow these bodies also to assess our
performance and compare it with other similar authorities.
