Here is some of the information that you will need on
private rented accommodation in Barrow. In most cases, the
leaflets will direct you to other websites containing relevant
information provided by other agencies.
We ask landlords to consider joining one or other of the
many landlords associations which operate nationally and regionally
and their details maybe found on the Internet. For a
relatively small fee, landlords can access a variety of
services. Most charge an annual membership fee and you may,
as a member, be able to get access to information, news, legal
advice, prescribed forms and training.
Tenants requiring specific advice should contact their own
solicitor or the Citizen's Advice Bureau or Shelter.
The Council’s information is supplied free of charge for
those private landlords and tenants who are, or are considering,
renting in Barrow in Furness Cumbria. If you want to use it
for another purpose you may need the Council’s permission. If
you want to reuse our information for non profit purposes, or study
or news reporting purposes you may be able to do so free of charge
by using the ‘Click Use’ Licence facility. Please visit our
Re-use of
Public Sector Information webpage for further
information.
