Barrow Public Park

Barrow Park Band StandBarrow CenotaphEscape the hustle and bustle of the town centre and visit Barrow Park for some peace and tranquillity!

Channelside Haven

Channelside Haven, on the Barrow side of Walney Channel next to the bridge, is based on the design concept of a "shell", and features the theme of "The Channel", a specially commissioned poem written by writer Sarah Miller.

A large variety of materials have been imaginatively used to create flowing pathways. Visitors can wander among the scented gardens with panoramic views of Walney Channel. The park is the gateway to the "Red Man Way" a coastal footpath running along Walney Channel. A detailed walk leaflet is available from Barrow Tourist Information Centre.

Vickerstown Park

Vickerstown Park, just over the bridge on Walney Island, has a large adventure playground, toddlers play area and skateboarding ramps. The Park has spectacular views over Walney channel.
