The Park Leisure Centre is run by Barrow Borough Council and
provides recently refurbished sports and gym facilities along with
2 swimming pools.
Free Swimming!
Since Wednesday 1st April 2009 all people 'aged 16 and
under and over 60' are able to swim for free at the Park
Leisure Centre during public swimming times as described on the
Free Swimming page on the Park Leisure Centre Web site.
Free sessions are also available at Dalton
Leisure Centre.
The initiative is a key part of plans to leave a lasting legacy
from London 2012 giving people up and down the country more
opportunities to get active. Getting people more active is vital to
the health of the nation and to tackling the obesity crisis.

The Park Leisure centre offers a comprehensive health and
fitness service for its members and guests. The available
facilities cover the entire spectrum for a cardio and
muscular workout.

Max Inspiration is a new gym
workout exclusively for children with a disability.

The Park leisure Centre has invested significantly into
upgrading and re-branding its food and drink service. The Café
Fusion, situated in the air conditioned café/ recreation viewing
area overlooking the pool, is open at peak times.
